Now Reading: Renovations Completed | Jump To Comments
Renovations are now completed and I must say that this place look spectacular! Some things I have done are really over the top and just plain awesome. Lets highlight some of the changes.
First off you will notice the menu bar along the top. It's pretty generic navigation with a search box. It also follows you down the page! Next you will probably say what is this little scrolling box with icons?! That is the blog managers panel and it's pretty sweet. The managers are represented by their icons that scroll. When you hover over them the scrolling stops and a "tooltip" pops out above the little box giving details on the blog manager. I think this new menu, if we shall even call it that, is non-obtrusive and really a step over the top. (I myself like this most of all)
Some other things to point out it that post information is now displayed right under the post title. The comments have also been updated with an area that tells you which entry the comment belongs to (since I get lost a lot and forget where I am) and next to that is the basic comments tools, edit and delete.
The private messaging feature that was talked about couldn't be added. It just wasn't working out as I had visualized it. Other than that, the new look is ready for take off!
Let me know what you all think and things that should be changed and your feedback is important. :-)
Edit: Browser Fixes Galore - but now cross-browser compatible!
I have just completed many browser fixes using Safari. Everything should be working and displaying just as it would in IE and vice versa.
1) Fixed a rare issue in which avatars and information were popping out of the blog managers bar on the left in Safari/FireFox.
2) Fixed a positioning issue with the subnavigation and it now caps the top perfectly.
3) Fixed a comment issue in which the horizontal rule was stretched and distorted in Safari/FireFox. Solution was to just remove it and insert a line break.
4) Fixed a padding and height issue in Safari/FireFox with the pop-out tooltips of the blog managers scrolly thing.
5) Fixed positioning of items on the menu bar (the very top gray-ish bar). "Jamming" or the pushing the down of items on the bar won't happen when the window is resized - instead everything slides nicely overtop or gets cut off properly avoiding one big mess.
